Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts is a long-awaited programme for all fans and it did not disappoint.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson reunite after twenty years with co-stars including Tom Fallon, Helen Bon-Carter, Matthew Lewis, and Gary Oldman to reminisce about their time in Harry Potter. It’s touching and tear-jerking how they reminisce and relish their time on set, remembering those cast members who are no longer with us such as the wonderful Alan Rickman and Richard Harris, feeling the lasting impact they made on the films and their lives.

The cast and crew, including every director of the eight films as they remember the creation and impact of all films and books on audience members. So much of it hit me right in the heart, touching on the pure emotion. Harry Potter was a huge part of my childhood and my life now and it’s powerful how it congregates down to intricate, important moments that have shaped my life.

“The stories we love best do live in us forever, so whether you come back by page or big screen Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home” J K Rowling.

DISCLAIMER: No spoilers have been included as I urge everyone to watch it, however, the ending of it is perfect. I couldn’t have chosen a better, tear-jerker of an ending.
