Well, another year is coming to a close. 2022 has gone really very quickly for me and my feet have barely touched the ground—another year of studying for my postgraduate degree, full of writing and hard work. Now I have finished and I couldn’t be happier.
Unfortunately, my physical and mental health has taken a back seat which has been a huge mistake of mine. Studying MA has been one of the most rewarding but taxing experiences of my life and I will not be studying PhD. I need to take some time for myself and, after recovering, I will be writing. I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t write, but I will be writing for pleasure.
The biggest highlight for me earlier this year was my brother getting married in Thailand. I now have a Sister-in-Law which I thought would never happen. Sorry, bro! No, seriously, I love them both very much. Due to access and disability awareness in Thailand, I could not attend in person but I am over the moon that they have returned to England to live here for the foreseeable future.
People around me will be asking me what is next for me now I have finished my MA and, the answer to that is, I do not know. I do not want to know! It’s time for me to take a step back from education and live in the moment.
Have a happy and healthy New Year everyone. Who knows what 2023 will bring?
