Writer, Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) has lived a very reclusive life publishing popular adventure novels which are loved by audiences everywhere but have never lived an adventure of her own. She works closely with her cover model, Alan (Channing Tatum) to bring her books alive but doesn’t see him as much of a hero himself until billionaire Abigail Fairfax (Daniel Radcliff) kidnaps Loretta, in the hope that she can help him locate the lost city and its treasure.
There were some comedic moments, but the film was a disappointment. Considering there are some famous faces in this film, the film wasn’t improved by their star power. Having the actors as the three main characters, I would have thought the storyline would be more fitting to their talents. Bullock and Tatum were not able to perform well in the space they were given. Radcliff was trying to break away from his role as Harry Potter but playing a villain wasn’t a good idea, as he did not suit the villain role.
