Disney’s Jungle Cruise is based on a ride at Disneyland where a riverboat takes travellers through a jungle filled with supernatural, dangerous animals. It follows the captain of the small boat who goes in search of the Tree of Life, accompanied by a scientist and their brother.
The film was much darker than I expected. But it liked it as it had a Jumanji feeling to it which fitted with Dwayne Johnson role. There were a few comedic moments from Dwayne Johnson which I enjoyed. Emily Blunt’s performance was excellent. A good partnership. The film was good, an easy watch, meaning I do recommend it for a family night in. However, don’t expect anything hard hitting.
