Superintelligence (2020) Film Review

Rating: 0.5 out of 5.

Superintelligence follows Carol Peters (Melissa McCarthy) an average woman living an average life. However, when she begins to get snarky comments from her television set, she must stop the AI technology from enslaving or destroying humanity and instead prove to it that humanity must be saved.

The film’s plot was not what I expected it to be. Melissa McCarthy’s performance was good but I didn’t think the film suited her comedic performance well. James Cordon and Melissa McCarthy’s performances did have some comedic elements to the film though. The film also coincides with the suggestion that technology is going to take over humanity in the future.

Nonetheless, I would not recommend this film, it’s an easy enough watch but doesn’t live up to expectations.
