Friends: The Reunion

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Everyone knows the worldwide hit TV sitcom Friends which aired between 1994-2004. It’s an enormous hit watched over 100 billion times and still aired daily on Channel 5 and Comedy Central. After many years of the fans asking and asking, Friends: The Reunion has hit our TVs. The main cast formed of Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc.

I love the episode although it wasn’t quite what I was expecting. I thought the Reunion would be an actual episode. It was still emotional and exciting to watch the cast reunite and reflect on the series. I am a big fan of media and the backstage material behind films and TV series, so I was really hooked on the secrets revealed. I really enjoyed learning about how the series came to be and the casting process. It was a simple but powerful idea with each character holding their own dialogue and thoughts about special moments.

The cast themselves are sentimental as they reflect on the episodes and read out the script re-enacting scenes. Fans and celebrities featured in the show appear to show their top moments of Friends and what it meant to them. There were guest stars featured in the reunion including Tom Selleck, Maggie Wheeler, James Michael Tyler and more. I particularly enjoyed the quiz they set up similar to the one with the embryos. This time they have a quiz on their knowledge of Friends. This was definitely my favourite comedic moment!

I would watch this again to reminisce and I recommend any fans of Friends to watch the Reunion.
