My friend, Shannon, has told me about Nanowrimo this year, so we both have signed up to hit this year’s challenge. Nanowrimo (National Novermber Writing Month), for those of you that don’t know, is a challenge for all writers in all disciplines. The aim of the challenge is to have a piece of work that is at least 50,000 words.
My project – Middle Earth
For the last five years, I have been working on a novel, Middle Earth, between studies. My character, Nancy, discovers that she was adopted and is in fact a faerie, not a human. Through this discovery, she attends a Faerie boarding school where she learns that not everything is what it seems.
Somebody is controlling how much she learns, somebody is after her, and her long-lost sister is calling to her in her dreams.
How am I doing?
Today is day 14 of the challenge, I haven’t started writing for today yet, but where am I so far?
I am on 15845. I know that Yesterday should be 21,000 to be on target but I’m getting there! Only 113 words a day out, and yesterday was a good day. While I have not missed a day of writing, yesterday was my best day in terms of statistics:

Yesterday, I beat my previous high streak of 2370 words (day 7) by writing almost 3k! If I do that again today, I shouldn’t be too far away from getting back on track, so wish me luck! 😀

Are you participating in Nanowrimo? Let me know in comments.
