Night School (2018) Film Review

Star Rating: ⭐⭐

Teddy Walker (Kevin Hart) is a high school dropout who wants to earn a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) to acquire a more upscale job and enrols in night school, taught by a super-tough but inspirational teacher, with the name of Carrie (Tiffany Haddish). On his journey to get the diploma he crosses paths with his former high school nemesis and gets involved with a group of misfit students, also on their way to achieve their GED. Can his teacher Carrie help Teddy to discover why he is struggling so much in his studies?

The film does have comedic moments thanks to Kevin Hart, but the plotline is dry and as thin as sandpaper.
