Mary Poppins Returns (2018) Film Review

The much-loved nanny returns in the shape of Emily Blunt who has been able to fill those magical shoes

Decades after the classic Mary Poppins film realise in 1964, the magical nanny returns to our screens once again. This time played by iconic actress Emily Blunt as she goes to the aid of the Banks family, including much-loved characters; Michael (Ben Whishaw) Jane, (Emily Mortimer) and Michael’s children, the Banks siblings; Annabel (Pixie Davies) John (Nathanael Saleh) and Georgie (Joel Dawson) and friend, Ellen (Julie Walters) through a difficult time in their lives.

The film brings the fun and music and cute references from the original film and creates a squeal that is full of comedic moments, family-fun and a true tear jerker, which touching, important themes for audience members with Emily Blunt pulling off a great performance.
